Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy is a discipline specialized in addressing issues with physical function, movement and mobility which may be caused by various medical conditions. Physical therapists work with patients to restore, maintain and maximize their function and quality of life

  • restoring, improving or maintaining physical function and mobility

  • pain Management

  • falls prevention & injury reduction

  • prehabilititation & post operative rehabilitation following organ transplant

  • post operative rehabilitation following various general surgery

  • cardiac rehabilitation

  • rehabilitation following stroke or spinal cord injury and other neurological conditions such as Parkinson's Disease

  • rehabilitation following trauma or post -operative orthopedic injuries

  • rehabilitation of rheumatological conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis

  • management of cystic fibrosis and other cardiopulmonary conditions

  • rehabilitation of the hand following plastic surgery through hand therapy

  • burn rehabilitation

Note

Inpatient services are provided days per week. Most programs offer access on weekends and holidays, though service intensity or frequency may be reduced.

Outpatient services are generally provided during weekdays and generally between the hours of 7 am to 5 pm but vary between programs.
