Cystic Fibrosis Clinic, Pediatric

Provides care to children with cystic fibrosis.

Cares for children with cystic fibrosis (CF) from northern Alberta, northern British Columbia, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. Care includes diagnosis, assessment, teaching, support, and research. Each family is seen by the healthcare team 4 times a year (or more if needed).

Provides newborn screening for Cystic Fibrosis (CF) to those babies who had positive or uncertain blood test results.

Provides testing, which includes:

  • pulmonary function tests
  • sweat chloride tests
  • flexible bronchoscopy
  • pulmonary testing (spitometry)

The clinic is closed for lunch daily from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The clinic is not open of statutory holidays.
