Social Work - Alberta Kidney Care - South

Renal (kidney) social workers help patients and caregivers with the emotional and practical impacts of kidney disease.

Social workers at Alberta Kidney Care South help people with:

  • Support and counselling related to kidney disease. This could include grief and loss, illness adjustment, caregiver stress, and stress management
  • Education to help you live well with kidney disease
  • Advanced care planning (for example, completing personal directives)
  • Assessment and advocacy to help you connect to community and government programs to meet your needs
