The team focuses on de-escalation, assessment, and connection to appropriate supports, helping reduce unnecessary emergency department visits and justice involvement. PACT can also facilitate conveyance under the Alberta Mental Health Act when individuals meet criteria for involuntary assessment, ensuring safe transport to hospital for further evaluation.
