Public Health Nutrition

Public Health Dietitians work with local, community and provincial partners to enhance the health and wellbeing of all Albertans where they live, learn, work, play and heal.

Public Health Dietitians focus on nutrition strategies and actions that support populations vulnerable to poor health outcomes and those impacted by health inequities.

This is done is through improving healthy eating environments in your community such as in schools, childcares, healthcare facilities, recreation centres and workplaces as well as working with community agencies on various initiatives. We also provide free virtual workshops to parents and caregivers of young children to support healthy growth and development.
