Step Up Step Down

Provides care to patients and support to families within Acute Mental Health.

Helps youth aged 13 to 17 who have significant mental health difficulties and who receive care from an AHS clinician, but need additional support. The program includes a high level of family or caregiver participation to help youth succeed at home, in school and in their community.

There are two streams for this program, live in treatment and intensive outpatient.

Service Providers May Include
family therapist, licensed practical nurses (LPNs), mental health aid, occupational therapist, psychiatry, psychologists, recreation therapists, registered nurses (RNs), registered psychiatric nurses (RPN's), social workers, teachers

Children 17 years and younger.
