Building Opportunities, Skills, and School

School based intervention and entry for youth experiencing challenges in school and / or with low level ability to change behaviour under different conditions that impacts their life.

The Building Opportunities: Skills and School Program (B.O.S.S) is a 3 week psychoeducational program that focuses on substance use education, mental health awareness, social skills, life skills as well as on-line behavior.
This program is committed to improving the health and well-being of students by reducing the risk of actual and potential substance abuse, increasing life skills and strategies, advocating for an alternative approach to legal action, and successfully reconnecting youth back to their school. Utilizing a holistic and collaborative intervention, this program will support students at increased risk for substance related suspensions or school related criminal charges through a range of clinical and academic interventions, including harm reduction, psychoeducation and assessment for treatment as needed.

Youth will have access to counsellors and support who can help them achieve their goals or other individual needs during their time in the program.
