Lloydminster Stroke Prevention Clinic
Provides assessment, follow-up care, and education for patients who have experienced a stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA), or who are at high risk of stroke. The clinic offers a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach to the prevention of first or recurrent stroke, including risk factor assessment, coordination of diagnostic testing, medication management, and patient education to support long-term stroke prevention. Some services provided are:
- providing detailed assessments by using a wide range of healthcare disciplines.
- facilitating appropriate diagnostic testing and interventions.
- providing education to clients and their families.
- providing continuity of care between acute care, rehab services, and community care providers.
