Pediatric Headshape Clinic

Assessment and treatment options for infants with headshape abnormalities that may require surgical interventions.

Assessment and treatment for infants with head shape abnormalities that may require surgical interventions. A full assessment of your child’s head shape is conducted independently by a Registered Nurse in collaboration with the Nurse Practitioner. A personalized treatment plan is developed and referral to other health services regarding your child’s head shape is made at this time.

Eligibility

Children 18 months and younger, who have an abnormal head shape.

Wait Times

Wait time is dependent on the severity of the child's condition based on the referral, and clinic availability.

Fees

As of September 1, 2011, there is a charge for all helmets. The charge is approximately $2,500.00 per helmet for non-surgical conditions. Private health insurance may cover a portion of the cost.
