Mobility Clinic

Offers help for people who find it hard to move around inside their homes or out in their communities

Offers support for people who live in rural areas and have fallen, are at risk of falling, or who have trouble moving around by:

  • assessing their ability to move around (mobility)
  • helping them choose canes, crutches or walkers (mobility aids)
  • seeing if their homes need special safety equipment
  • referring them to other services

Also helps people find out if the cost of their walking aid is covered by Alberta Aids to Daily Living.

Eligibility

Adults 18 years of age or older living in the community who have fallen or are at risk for falling and/or require a mobility aid for long term use.

Referral Needed

Professional referral required.

Fees

No cost to attend the clinic. Cost of walking aids depends on type and how much is covered by Alberta Aids to Daily Living.
