A voluntary support program for families who need help parenting and are experiencing life challenges.

A voluntary support program for families who need help parenting and are experiencing life challenges. Provides in-home visitation to build caregiver capacity related to child development, parenting and creating a safe and nurturing home environment. Provides a strength-based approach to achieve resilient coping and empowerment. Goal is to strengthen family environments.

Access
Eligibility

Families who need help with parenting and are experiencing life challenges. Men or Women who:

  • are pregnant or have children 0-3 years old
  • are seeking assistance with child development, mental health, stress reduction, relationships, injury prevention or nutrition
  • require support in accessing community resources
  • pregnant or postnatal women who are struggling with alcohol and/or substance abuse
Service Access

Healthcare providers should consult the Alberta Referral Directory for service referral information.

Referrals can be made through community agencies and / or AHS Public Health or Addictions and Mental Health
