Dental Outreach of Red Deer Program

The DOoR program provides free dental treatment and prevention services for children aged five to 18 who have urgent dental needs such as pain, infection, visible decay, or broken teeth.

Services offered are income eligible and include:

  • free dental treatment services (ie. x-rays, fillings, extractions)
  • free prevention services (ie. sealants, fluoride, cleanings)
  • free education to reduce risk of cavities

Volunteer opportunities are available within the DOoR Program for dentists and registered dental assistants who are committed to helping provide needed dental treatment for children in Central Alberta. This is an excellent opportunity for local dental professionals to join an established group of dedicated volunteers and Alberta Health Services staff, who coordinate treatment and provide prevention services for children in need.

Dental professionals interested in volunteering for the DOoR program can email or call.
