Outpatient Dysphagia Clinic

This service provides assessment, treatment, and management of adults 18 and over who have or are suspected of having swallowing dysfunction.

Services provided may include:

  • A clinical swallowing assessment and / or education
  • Instrumental assessment (Modified Barium Swallow / Videofluoroscopic Swallow Study, Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing)
  • Follow-up
  • Referrals to other services or programs

The clinic does not assess or manage patients with suspected esophageal abnormalities.

Service Providers May Include
speech-language pathologists (SLPs)

Patients must be 18 years or older.
