Specimen Collection Requirements: | One 3 mL light green (mint) top PST tube. Gold top SST tube also acceptable. 0.5 mL plasma or serum Collected in the same tube as Isopropanol and Ethylene Glycol. Do not collect in same tube with any other test. Calgary Zone: Microcollection Minimum Whole Blood Volumes. DO NOT swab arm with alcohol. DISINFECT WITH IODINE. If approved non-alcohol containing swabs are not available and/or the patient has a related allergy to them, it is acceptable to use soap and warm water to cleanse the site for methanol collections. | ||
