Sexually Transmitted Infections Clinic

Provides routine screening and treatment for Sexually Transmitted Infections.

Effective March 18, 2020, STI Clinics will be unable to provide routine wellness STI Testing and will only seeing clients for the following urgent concerns:

  • KNOWN STI and need treatment
  • Contact to a known STI and need testing/treatment
  • Symptoms of an STI
  • Pre-booked appointments

If you require any of the above services, please phone the Clinic at 780-342-2300 to make an appointment.

Services include:

  • free and private testing and treatment for STIs
  • testing for HIV, bacterial infections (e.g., chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis), and diseases of the blood (e.g., hepatitis C)
  • HPV (genital warts) treatment (service is not offered at the Westmount Centre Mall site)
  • pregnancy testing and referral
  • emergency contraceptive pill
  • referral to community services
  • needle exchange service offered at Edmonton General site only

Birth Control is not provided at this clinic. For information on birth control, contact the Birth Control Centre.

MSM After Hour Clinic: Wednesday 5:15 pm-8:15 pm, STI testing for gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men.

You can also access STI testing through your healthcare provider.

Ask for HIV, Syphilis, gonorrhea and chlamydia testing.

Please phone the STI Clinic before coming in.

In the past 14 days, have you:

  • developed a NEW fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat or shortness of breath OR
  • travelled outside Canada OR
  • been in close contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19 OR
  • had close contact with a person with acute respiratory illness who has travelled anywhere outside of Canada

IF YES to any of the above, DO NOT come to the Clinic. Instead, go to and complete the self-assessment. Please do not visit a hospital, doctor’s office, lab or health care facility without consulting Health Link (811).
