Sexually Transmitted Infections Clinic

Provides routine screening and treatment for Sexually Transmitted Infections.

Services include:

  • free and private testing and treatment for STIs
  • testing for HIV, bacterial infections (e.g., chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis), and diseases of the blood (e.g., hepatitis C)
  • HPV (genital warts) treatment (service is not offered at the Westmount Centre Mall site)
  • pregnancy testing and referral
  • emergency contraceptive pill
  • referral to community services
  • needle exchange service offered at Edmonton General site only

Birth Control is not provided at this clinic. For information on birth control, contact the Birth Control Centre at 780-735-0010.

Note

MSM After Hour Clinic: Wednesday 5:15 pm-8:15 pm, STI testing for gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men.

You can also access STI testing through your healthcare provider.

Ask for HIV, Syphilis, gonorrhea and chlamydia testing.

Edmonton General (11111 Jasper Ave) will be closed December 20th from 12:45 – 3:00 p.m. 

Tuesday - January 7, 2020, the clinic will open at 10:45 a.m. for this one day only.

Access varies depending on the service:

  • for testing, this service operates on a walk-in basis only. Appointments are not booked for routine testing
  • testing visits can take up to 45 minutes to complete

Please arrive as early as possible in the day to make sure you can be tested or treated. The clinic does not stay open beyond the posted times and may become full before the closing time.
