Walk In Counselling Services

Provides single session counselling, screening and referral on a walk-in basis for people experiencing a range of emotional or mental health issues.

Provides a short-term counselling service, to help people make changes in their lives. Screening and referrals may also be completed to connect clients with additional services.

Sometimes people feel overwhelmed, aren't sure what to do, and need more than a friend to talk to.

Counsellor's use a team approach and focus on helping people make changes in their lives by learning what their strengths are and using them.

Reasons for needing this support may include:

  • stress
  • grieving
  • parenting
  • relationships
  • depression
  • anxiety

Confidential counselling sessions are 50 minutes.

If appropriate, people are provided information on other addiction and/or mental health services.

Note

The ICAT (Integrated Crisis and Access Team) telephone line is open for over-the-phone counselling, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Office is closed weekends and statutory holidays.

Walk-in services are generally heald every other Wednesday afternoon fron 1:00-3:00 please call the office to confirm. Dates for 2024 are as follows: April 10, 22  May 8, 22  June 5, 19  July 3, 17, 31 August 14 September 5.
