Pulmonary Diagnostics Unit

Clinic provides diagnostic procedures and treatment plans for patients with lung conditions that require care from a Respirologist, a doctor who is a specialist in lung diseases.

Clinic provides diagnostic procedures and treatment plans for lung conditions such as:

  • cough
  • shortness of breath
  • chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD)
  • asthma
  • lung cancer
  • interstitial lung disease
  • sleep apnea
  • pneumonia
  • malignant pleural effusion

Sub-specialty clinics include:

  • Interstitial Lung Disease Clinic
  • Occupational Lung Disease Clinic
  • Interventional Pulmonary Medicine
  • Malignant pleural effusion (PleurX clinic)
  • Hereditary Hemmorhagic Telangiectasia (HHT) Clinic
  • Access to Certified Respiratory Educator (CRE)

Eligibility

Adult patients over the age of 18

Referral Needed

A doctor's referral is required

Referring Doctors are encouraged to go through PCAT or ATOP

Service Access

Healthcare providers should consult the Alberta Referral Directory for service referral information.

• Appointments must be pre-booked
• Clinic will not accept walk in
• Repeated cancellation and no shows may result in patient being discharged from Clinic
