Speech Language Pathology - Outpatients / Community

Provides assessment and treatment for adults who have a speech, language, voice, or swallowing disorders.

This service provides assessment and treatment for:

  • communication
  • rehabilitation
  • fluency and swallowing disorders
  • neurological / degenerative diseases such as ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease)
  • make sounds correctly / reduce stuttering
  • thinking skills (like memory, problem solving, and verbal reasoning)

Services are available at outpatient hospital clinics, community health centres, patient's homes and continuing care / long term care centres.
