Post Secondary Institution Clinical Services

Recovery Alberta has an embedded Mental Health Therapist within post-secondary institutions that provide a higher level of care and treatment to young adults that are attending post-secondary education.

A mental health therapist works alongside the psychological services at the post secondary institution to provide treatment to clients aged 16 - 25 years old who are experiencing a mental health and/or addiction related challenge. Referrals are received from the psychological services on campus should the young person's care needs exceed what is available to them on campus. Alternately, referrals are sometime received from AMH providers when the client attends the PSI and there are barriers for them to attend community-based appointments.
