Continence Clinic

The Continence Clinic provides assessment and treatment for adults and older adults.

This clinic offers assessment and treatment for adults and older adults with bowel or bladder concerns, including:

  • urinary urgency
  • urinary incontinence
  • nocturia
  • incontinence on exertion
  • constipation
  • accidental loss of stool
  • recurrent urinary tract infection
  • prolapse
  • urogenital atrophy

Treatments may include:

  • pelvic floor exercises
  • bladder retraining
  • fluid adjustment
  • use of catheters
  • continence products
  • medications
  • referrals for surgery

Service Providers May Include
doctors, nurse practitioners (NPs), registered nurses (RNs), urodynamics
Eligibility

The clinic is open to all adults (18+ years) residing within the Province of Alberta who may have bowel or bladder issues.
