Continence Clinic

The Continence Clinic provides assessment and treatment for adults and older adults.

This clinic offers assessment and treatment for adults and older adults with bowel or bladder concerns, including:

  • urinary urgency
  • urinary incontinence
  • nocturia
  • incontinence on exertion
  • constipation
  • accidental loss of stool
  • recurrent urinary tract infection
  • prolapse
  • urogenital atrophy

Treatments may include:

  • pelvic floor exercises
  • bladder retraining
  • fluid adjustment
  • use of catheters
  • continence products
  • medications
  • referrals for surgery

doctors, nurse practitioners (NPs), registered nurses (RNs), urodynamics
Eligibility

The clinic is open to all adults (18 years of age and older) eligible to receive healthcare in Alberta.

Referral Needed

Self-referral is accepted where adults can phone in to the clinic for an appointment to be booked.
