Intensive Care Unit

This unit is a combined intensive care and coronary care unit and cares for people who are ventilated or need telemetry monitoring.

This combined intensive care / coronary care unit cares for inpatients who are critically ill (e.g., organ system failure) or need telemetry monitoring. May also provide these tests:

  • cardioversions
  • trans-esophageal echocardiography

Access
Service Providers May Include
dietitians, internal medicine specialists, occupational therapists (OTs), pharmacists, physical therapists (PTs), registered nurses (RNs), respiratory therapists (RTs), speech-language pathologists (SLPs), social workers
Referral Needed

Only a Critical Care Physician can admit people to the unit and book outpatient tests.

Service Access

You must be referred by a Critical Care Physician.
