AMH COVID-19 Seed Grant

This $15,000 seed grant was awarded to Dr. Stephanie Montesanti in July 2020 for her work on Mobilizing knowledge on the use of virtual care interventions to provide trauma-focused treatment to individuals and families at-risk of domestic violence during COVID-19.

Depression Research Priority Grant

This grant was limited to projects related to Alberta’s Top 11 Depression Research Priorities determined by Albertans with lived experience of depression. The $30,000 grant was awarded to two recipients in November 2019:

  • Dr. Scott Patten was awarded $20,000 in the primary data category for his work on Using longitudinal data to study the association between antidepressant medications and physical health.
  • Dr. Valerie Taylor was awarded $10,000 in the knowledge translation category for her work on A systematic review of the relation between food and mood symptoms.

Team Building Grant

This $5,000 grant was awarded to Dr. Gina Dimitropoulos in September 2019 to assist with costs related to forming a cross-institutional team to work on Optimizing the transfer of youth with mental health issues from secondary to post-secondary schools.
