• 2016-17: Report to the community

    CEO and Board Chair Message

We are committed to providing services with respect, fairness and dignity for our patients and families.

Every day we provide care where it’s needed: whether we are evacuating thousands during a raging wildfire in northern Alberta, opening vaccination clinics to quell a mumps outbreak in southern Alberta, or providing care in more than 650 facilities across the province. From the extraordinary to the ordinary, from health crisis to health promotion, we are working to protect the health of Albertans and respond to their needs in every corner of Alberta.

We want to help keep Albertans healthy and safe, and to help them maintain and improve their health. We are working to connect them with resources and care in their communities, where we know they will have better health outcomes. We are focusing on providing high-quality healthcare, consistently in every site and facility, and we want to continually improve how we do this.

We are committed to providing services with respect, fairness and dignity for our patients and families. We are compassionate, accountable and respectful, and we strive for excellence and safety.

This year has been one of rising to challenges and finding ways to do our work more effectively and efficiently. And we are doing this together, with patients and families, and all Albertans. We couldn’t do any of this without the dedicated staff, physicians and volunteers who are so passionate about the work they do every day and who care so deeply about the people we serve.

We are proud to share this Report to the Community and some of the highlights of 2016-17.
