Audiology Services

Community Audiology within the Calgary Zone provides a full range of diagnostic audiological and specialized services for infants, children, adults and seniors.

Centralized referral intake and scheduling is utilized for Community Audiology which includes multiple sites:

  • Richmond Road Diagnostic and Treatment Centre
  • Arthur Child Cancer Care
  • Foothills Medical Centre
  • South Health Campus
  • Airdrie Community Health Centre

Not all services are offered at each site. Available sites for specific testing will be shared at the time of scheduling appointment.

RRDTC is home to the Adult Cochlear Implant Service for the southern half of the province.

All vestibular assessments are completed at the SHC site.

 

Community Audiology provides the following services:

  • diagnostic hearing assessments for all ages
  • specialized tests (ABR) for infants 1 - 6 months of age
  • hearing screening for infants and older children 4 -18 years of age
  • ototoxicity (baseline / monitoring) hearing assessments
  • vestibular assessments (ENT / Neurology referral required) at SHC only
  • cochlear implant (CI) candidacy assessments and intervention/follow-up for adults 18 and older at RRDTC only

This service does not provide, adjust or sell hearing aids. Information about where to obtain hearing aids is provided post hearing assessment.
