Physiotherapy - Fractures, Orthopedic Surgery and General Injuries

AHS offers funded physiotherapy services in contracted clinics to help you improve your function, better understand your condition and learn what you can do to be healthy and independent.

Physiotherapists are movement specialists who are trained to help people improve participation in their daily activities. Through an active approach, physiotherapists focus on teaching exercises and educating clients on how to manage pain and their recovery. Children or adults who meet specific criteria may be eligible for AHS contracted physiotherapy services.
Services will include:

  • an assessment
  • home exercise program
  • education on your condition and how to manage daily living
  • education to support ongoing activity and long-term recovery

This service is provided by Alberta Health Services contracted service providers.
