Health Advisory Councils provide a grassroots perspective and an understanding of their communities' health needs.
Council members are interested in listening to the people and committed to giving valuable feedback to AHS.
Twelve councils across Alberta represent many different experiences, cultures and ages, and provide critical feedback that informs decisions that affect how AHS delivers health services and cares for Albertans.
Council members are volunteers and reside within their council geographic area. Members are recruited annually across Alberta, and membership lists can be found through the council menu on this page.To learn more about each council's role and achievements, view their brochure.
Meeting dates, agendas and minutes are posted under each of the council headings on this page. We encourage you to join us at a council meeting in your area. Complete and submit this form if you’d like to present at the meeting. View a complete list of meeting dates for all councils across Alberta.
