Respiratory Therapists provide respiratory therapeutic and diagnostic services across the continuum of care.This service, provided to all age groups, evaluates respiratory needs in a variety of settings including:
acute care (hospital)
diagnostic testing to indicate medications
diagnostics including spirometry, arterial blood gases, and oximetry
Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL) respiratory equipment needs assessment
consultation services for equipment and sleep related issues
COPD rehabilitation clinics
asthma clinics in sites with visiting specialists
referrals to other disciplines
education on how to use respiratory medicine
smoking cessation programs
educational workshops as requested by community or providers
taking part in health and wellness fairs
support and participation in research initiatives

This facility provides a range of healthcare services including a 24/7 emergency department. The Fort McMurray Community Cancer Centre is located within this facility.
Visiting Hours Monday - Sunday 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Physician referral required. Referral must include patient name, phone number, health care number, diagnosis, testing required and physician name and signature.
Doctor's referral required except for educational programs.
