Our AHS Health Plan and Business Plan is our roadmap. Our four foundational strategies guide our efforts to sustain safe, high-quality healthcare delivery for the benefit of all Albertans.
We are a team: Supported by more than 13,900 volunteers, 110 midwives, and almost 10,000 physicians practicing in Alberta, more than 8,100 of whom are members of the AHS medical staff.
In our community (Somali), people don’t like to go to exercise. They don’t know about healthy foods and some people have diabetes or high blood pressure and don’t know what to do. If they take this workshop, it is good for them and they’ll know a lot of things about their health. They’ll have someone who understands their language and they’ll be able to learn more. It’s good to have people who know the language teach others who can’t understand English.
