RNs and RPNs who choose to participate in a North Zone locum are placed in a community that best matches their skills and interests.
Placements typically run approximately three weeks, however, the time frame for locums is flexible. There is no formalized minimum or maximum duration for placements.
The location is negotiable across over 40 communities and 115 sites. Locum assignments are based on experience, specialization, availability and location preferences.
You will have the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of settings such as: Acute Care, Emergency, Intensive Care, Operating Room, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Continuing Care, Home Care, Public Health and Psychiatry.
Locum nurses have a minimum of one to two years of nursing experience, although more experience is preferred. They are familiar with nursing roles and responsibilities, standards and protocols.
