Alberta Continuing Care Act Effective April 1, 2024

Continuing care can provide you with the support you need to maintain an active and fulfilling life.

Assisted Living Navigation Portal

The Assisted Living Navigation Portal is a new online tool that makes it easy for Albertans and their families to find and compare continuing care homes and supportive living accommodations in the province.

The portal, which will be rolled out in phases, includes an interactive questionnaire that provides tailored recommendations about appropriate continuing care homes and supporting living accommodations; plain language guides; a searchable map; and a comprehensive directory of continuing care homes and supportive living accommodations. The portal also provides information on fees, amenities, potential availability, and more. Some spaces can be accessed directly by contacting the site, while others require an assessment.

The next phase of the portal, including information about local home care and community supports, will launch in summer 2026.
