AHS youth volunteer program launches this fall

September 1, 2016

TWO HILLS – Local teens between the ages of 14 and 17 who are interested in making a difference for patients and their families are encouraged to consider volunteering at the Two Hills Health Centre as part of the new VolunTeen Program.

As part of the after school program, students can volunteer their time in a variety of activities, including one-on-one visits with residents and patients, assisting at mealtimes, playing card games, delivering essentials to patients rooms, and assisting with special events.

Not only does the program provide a way to give back, it also provides an opportunity to learn new skills, while becoming a part of the healthcare team.

If you have an interest in healthcare and enjoy making a difference in the community ─ then the VolunTeen Program may be for you.

To register as a VolunTeen at the Two Hills Health Centre, please contact AHS Volunteer Coordinator, Brittany Lysons at 780-763-3116 or email brittany.lysons@ahs.ca
