Residents Invited to Meet New Hospital Auxiliary

LACOMBE – Residents are invited to an open house to meet the new Auxiliary to the Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre and learn more about their work.

Auxiliary members are volunteers who focus on raising funds for patient care and comfort through numerous community events and activities. They volunteer their time operating the hospital’s gift shop, the Tuck Shop, and work to promote strong relationships between staff, volunteers, and residents. Previously operating as two separate entities, members have collectively contributed over 235,000 hours of volunteer service and raised more than $580,000 for equipment, post-secondary medical scholarships and numerous patient programs and services.
