“Having two new physicians practising in Barrhead makes a huge difference to the community,” says Glenn van Dijken, MLA for Athabasca-Barrhead-Westlock. “Access to nearby care makes it easier for families to visit loved ones in the hospital, easier for people to get timely emergency care and easier for parents to welcome their new babies close to home. These are foundations of a healthy community.”
