Events held in conjunction with National Paramedic Services Week

EDMONTON – Alberta Health Services’ Emergency Medical Services (AHS EMS) invites media to participate in an interactive day with EMS and EMS students as part of National Paramedic Services Week, which runs until May 25.

This hands-on event aims to give media in Edmonton and surrounding areas, as well as the public, a better understanding of the life-saving skills used every day by EMS practitioners. EMS students from approved programs across Alberta have also been invited to take part.

Members of the media will be able to use medical equipment with instruction provided by AHS EMS practitioners, and view numerous specialty response vehicles, divisions and facets of EMS which serve Edmonton and surrounding areas.
