Reminder: All outpatient cancer appointments in Calgary moved to new cancer centre

November 1, 2024

CALGARY - All patients with upcoming appointments for outpatient cancer treatments at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre are reminded to go to the Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre instead.

"We are very excited to welcome patients to this new building and are standing by to help you find your way," says Caroline Hatcher, Executive Director, Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre. "We are doing our best to remind patients that the location of their appointment has changed but we are finding patients are still arriving at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre/Holy Cross Centre. We want to ensure you are arriving at the right building in time for your appointment."

The new state-of-the-art treatment and research facility opened to ambulatory patients on Oct. 28. Inpatients are being moved on Nov. 2.

Last month, all returning cancer patients with upcoming appointments at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre were sent a letter, outlining the location of their appointment within the new centre. Patients are reminded to read the letter and visit the new centre for treatment. Volunteers are standing by inside the new centre to help patients get where they need to go.
