Urgent care centre at East Edmonton Health Centre remains temporarily closed

March 24, 2025

EDMONTON – Due to ongoing repair and cleaning from a water leak, the urgent care centre and family care clinic and at the East Edmonton Health Centre will be temporarily closed to patients until the end of April 2025. After assessing the remediation and cleaning work required, the space has been deemed not ready for patients. The family care clinic will transition to virtual appointments or reschedule patients as needed until the space reopens to in-person service.

Health Link at 811 is available 24/7 for non-emergency, health-related questions. In the event of a medical emergency, please call 911.

Alberta Health Services (AHS) recognizes extended closures can be stressful for patients seeking care. AHS continues to work diligently to complete the necessary cleanup as quickly as possible. Protective services staff will remain on site during the closure to redirect any patients who arrive at the urgent care centre. AHS would like to thank the community for its patience and understanding as this work is completed.
