Public invited to community conversation about cannabis

April 26, 2019

GRANDE PRAIRIE – Local residents seeking to broaden their perspective about cannabis are invited to attend a free community conversation.

Residents are invited to join the conversation on Friday, May 3, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Rotary Room at the Grande Prairie Public Library, 9839 103 Ave.

Cannabis Let’s Talk is led by local Alberta Health Services (AHS) addiction and mental health staff who will be facilitating conversations related to cannabis, such as what cannabis use looks like in Grande Prairie, shared cannabis experiences, and working together to promote a healthy and respectful community within cannabis laws.

Registration is required. Please call AHS addiction and mental health at 780-538-5162. Visit drugsafe.ca for more information about cannabis.

Cannabis Let’s Talk is a research partnership between the Canadian Institute for Substance Use Research and AHS. The partnership is supported with funding from Health Canada’s Substance Use and Addictions Program.
