Evidence based and peer reviewed pregnancy pathways have been developed by the Maternal Newborn Child & Youth SCN as a resource for clinicians and nurses to aide in the early identification and effective management of risk factors to support optimal mother and baby outcomes.

Provincial pathways enable health care providers to have ready access to current information, clinical decision making tools, and Alberta based resources while patients are able to access and feel confident in the consistent standards in care, regardless of where they reside in the province
