Does your education program require practical experience in a work setting with guidance from an experienced professional? Whether you are in a clinical or non-clinical profession AHS may have an opportunity for you.
A student placement is any unpaid practice education experience (also called placement, practicum, clinical, fieldwork, internship, experiential learning, etc.) that is a requirement of an educational program.
If you are unsure whether you require a clinical or non-clinical placement email Student.Placements@ahs.ca.
A clinical placement is one where the individual is in a position that will be directly involved with patient care or directly provide patient care. For example: nurses, nurse practitioners, therapists, geneticists, dietitians, counselors, emergency medical technicians, opticians, and pharmacists.
