Alberta Health Services is dedicated to providing effective weight management services to families.
As part of research and evaluation, Pediatric Centre for Weight and Health teams ask important questions such as “What weight management programs are most effective for families?” and “How can we improve families’ motivation to maintain healthy lifestyles?”.
The PCWH clinics work in partnership with researchers and students at the University of Alberta and University of Calgary to carry out practical research studies that can improve the care that families receive.
If interested, children, teens, and parents who enroll in the clinic will have the opportunity to participate as volunteers in a number of different studies.
