Alberta Health Services is dedicated to providing effective weight management services to families.

The Outpatient Dietitian Counselling program is a new Provincial program, and we would like to make sure it meets most families’ needs. To do this, we will be running a program evaluation. Families who choose to participate in the program evaluation complete a set of questionnaires at their initial visit with the dietitian, and every 6 months thereafter.

Changes that occur while working with the dietitian, including: changes in activity levels, nutrition, quality of life, and growth pattern will be evaluated. The results can help us to further improve the program to best meet the unique needs of our families.
