In March 2020, Alberta saw its first COVID-19 patient admitted to the ICU. Since then, more than 1,860 Albertans with COVID-19 have received care in ICUs across the province. Key milestones in the Alberta ICU Covid Experience.

The CC SCN, in collaboration with the provincial critical care community, developed and endorsed the following resources to support clinical care and management of COVID-19 patients requiring critical care, and support post-COVID recovery and rehabilitation for patients and health professionals.
