For Your Visit

Remember to:

  • call the clinic to confirm you are attending the appointment provided.
  • follow prep instructions prior to clinic appointment, failure to follow instructions will result in procedure not being done.
  • bring your Alberta Healthcare card and a piece of photo ID. If you don't your appointment may need to be rescheduled.
  • bring your current medication list including over the counter and herbal medications.

Finding Us

Located on the 7th floor outpatient services in Clinic 7E (within GI and Hepatology Outpatient Clinic).

Take the outpatient elevators to the 7th floor, turn right and follow signage. At the information desk, on the main floor, there are wayfinders, people in red shirts to help you find your way.

There are also electronic kiosks throughout the hospital that give directions.


What to Expect

Once you arrive at the clinic, check in at the front desk.

You may be in the clinic for up to one hour, come prepared.

When you see the motility nurse, you will review your medical history and talk about the reason for your visit.

The motility nurse will perform a procedure on you based upon your referral to their service. This may be esophageal manometry, or a variety of other procedures available.
