Recruitment Fraud Warning

Please be aware that Alberta Health Services (AHS) never requests fees, endorses training through third-parties, or directly hires applicants without a screening process. These are not AHS job offers and are fraudulent. If you receive a job offer that involves the payment of fees or offers free food and accommodation, it is a scam and you are asked to contact info.cybersecurity@ahs.ca. Learn more about Phishing and Fraud Alerts.

Signs of Recruitment Fraud

  • AHS websites will always contain albertahealthservices.ca, ahs.ca, or albertahs.taleo.net
  • AHS emails always end in “@ahs.ca, @ahs.ca, or @recruithealthab.ca”
  • Any message styled to look like it was sent from an Alberta hospital or facility using a different format is not authentic.
  • Contact information in the form of a mobile phone number or an address outside of Alberta is not an AHS office.
  • You are instructed to pay money to secure employment.
  • There is an insistence on urgency and repeated contact from the sender.

What should I do?

If you receive this type of email, please treat the message as fraudulent and forward it to AHS at info.cybersecurity@ahs.ca. Please include the message you received from the sender in your email.
