The hospital is a referral centre for surgical services and contains 25 acute care and 23 long-term care beds. Additionally, there is a Spirit Committee in place to improve the quality of work life for the staff and physicians at the hospital through internal and external events.

The Bow Valley Community Cancer Centre is also located within Canmore General Hospital. It delivers a range of treatments and care options to cancer patients as close to home as possible, including outpatient chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, radiation therapy, classes and resources, navigation, and support.

AHS teams focus on interdisciplinary collaboration at both of these facilities. Get to know your coworkers personally and professionally through regular team meetings that improve transparency and clarify goals. You’ll find a strong degree of camaraderie, and a high level of personal and professional respect. Discover your ideal balance between work and life through your benefits package, development opportunities, and local programs designed to support staff.
