What to Expect
Colonoscopy Appointment Information
- The colonoscopy appointment usually takes between 1.5 to three hours. The test itself takes 20-30 minutes.
- If a large polyp is found during your colonoscopy, it may not be removed during this procedure. These polyps can be difficult to remove, require additional procedure time and equipment. Another physician with additional experience in the removal of these polyps may be required. A repeat colonoscopy will most likely be booked 2-6 months following your initial colonoscopy.
