Hereditary Cancer
Hereditary cancer is a genetic condition in which specific changes in genes, called genetic mutations, are inherited and can contribute to a person’s risk of developing certain cancers, such as breast, ovarian, colorectal or other cancer. Hereditary cancer is suspected in families when several members of more than one generation develop the same type of cancer, or related types of cancer, and these cancers are diagnosed at relatively young ages.
