This program is designed in collaboration with stakeholders including Health Professional Strategic (HPSP) and MacEwan University. The program delivers two weeks of AHS simulation Labs (e.g. code blue in the OR, malignant hyperthermia, massive hemorrhage protocol, end of life in the OR, fire in the OR, difficult conversations, etc) to the nursing cohorts from RN and LPN programs. This will improve the confidence of newly hired OR nurses’ by exposing them to basic OR principles and knowledge prior to working independently.
