Annual Reports

Alberta Trauma Services

Alberta Trauma Services Annual Reports provide an overview of the activities of Trauma Services at the ten trauma centers (five tertiary level 1 and 2 urban trauma centers and five regional level 3 trauma centers). These activities include defining characteristics of the major trauma population and clinical performance measures related to patient care.

The goals of these reports include:

  • Examine the epidemiology of major (ISS ≥ 12) traumatic injuries treated at Alberta level 1-3 trauma centres
  • Disseminate information about major trauma admissions in Alberta
  • Facilitate provincial and zone comparisons
  • Support injury prevention and control programs
  • Highlight research and non-research data requests
  • Increase awareness of injury as a major public health problem
