Lois Hole Hospital for Women
In advance of your appointment, complete the online education outlined in your notification of appointment letter.
On the day of your appointment, bring your patient education workshop questionnaire, bladder diary, and the patient history form enclosed with your notification of appointment letter.
Be sure to come with a comfortably full bladder.
Remember to bring your Alberta Healthcare card and a piece of photo ID.
Plan to give yourself enough time to find suitable parking.
The Pelvic Floor Clinic is located in the basement (level G), hallway C/D, of the Lois Hole Hospital for Women (LHHW), which is part of the Royal Alexandra Hospital campus. LHHW is located in the Robbins Pavilion on 111 Ave across from the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital.
From the front entrance of the Royal Alexandra Hospital, take the glass elevator to the 2nd floor. Off the elevator, turn right and walk past the atrium (garden area). Head towards the Robbins Pavilion pedway, keep walking towards the end of the hallway, past the resource center, and take the elevator to the basement (Level G).
Once on level G, please check in with Patient Registration/Women’s Clinic Reception.
Be prepared that your first appointment will take approximately one hour. During this time you will see a registered nurse/nurse continence advisor who will perform a vaginal assessment, obtain a medical history, assess bowel and bladder habits and review education materials.
Pessary insertion or speaking with the physician are not included as part of your first appointment.
