For Your Appointment

Remember to bring your Alberta Health Care card and a piece of photo ID. Parking at the site is limited; plan to give yourself enough time to arrive at your appointment.

As outlined in your notification of appointment letter:

  • Complete the online education.
  • Complete and return the bladder diary and history forms to the clinic via mail, email, or fax. 
  • Come to your initial appointment with a comfortably full bladder.

Finding Us

The Urogynecology Clinic is located in the basement (level G), hallway C/D, of the Lois Hole Hospital for Women (LHHW), which is part of the Royal Alexandra Hospital campus. LHHW is located in the Robbins Pavilion on 111 Ave across from the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital.

From the front entrance of the Royal Alexandra Hospital, take the glass elevator to the 2nd floor. Off the elevator, turn right and walk past the atrium (garden area). Head towards the Robbins Pavilion pedway, keep walking towards the end of the hallway, past the resource center, and take the elevator to the basement (Level G).

Once on level G, check in with Patient Registration/Women’s Clinic Reception.

What to Expect

Your appointments may be in-person, by telephone call, or a virtual group orientation session.  Appointment length may range from can take 30-105 minutes. 

During an in-person appointment a healthcare provider will review your medical history and may perform a vaginal assessment, assess bowel and bladder habits and review education materials.

Pessary insertion or speaking with the physician are not included as part of your first appointment.
